Hazel Karriker Lisk

Hazel Karriker Lisk, 91, of West Fifth Street, Siler City died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Chatham Hospital, Inc., Siler City. Mrs. Lisk was born in Cabarrus County on September 10, 1923 the daughter of Neal and Lillie (Benfield) Karriker. Hazel was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Siler City and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Hazel was a homemaker who also helped in the operation and ownership of Lisk Sales, a health careers promotional business. She loved cats, cooking, having family gatherings and working with her flowers. She was a loving wife and mother whose life was her family and church. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Norman C. Lisk, Sr.; her parents; sisters, Mae Karriker, Edith Sloop, Elsie Sloop, Kathleen Funderburk; brother, Vard Karriker. She is survived by daughters: Jane Lisk Andrews and husband, Robert of Siler City, NC, Martha Lisk of Pittsboro, NC; son:Craig Lisk. Jr. and wife, Colleen of Blowing Rock, NC; granddaughter, Tish Robertson and husband, Jim of Blowing Rock, NC; great-grandchildren, Camille and Jake Ward of Blowing Rock, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 1101 West Raleigh Street, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Clyde Denny officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Memorial Park, Siler City.
