Gregory Stephen "Steve" Stacy

Gregory "Steve" Stacy, 55, of Seth Teague Road, Siler City died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Chatham Hospital, Inc., Siler City. Mr. Stacy was born in Rutherford County on August 27, 1959 the son of George Allen and Virginia Burrell Stacy. Steve worked as production control manager at Arauco in Biscoe and had previously worked at Mastercraft in Siler City. He was dedicated to his work, showing great passion and attention to detail. Steve had a sense of humor and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed Nascar and football, especially the Panthers and the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed spending time playing with his dog, Ralph. He is survived by one daughter: Lorie Teague of Siler City, NC; two sisters: Frances S. Dobbins, Margaret S. Dwiggins both of Rutherfordton, NC; one brother: Wayne A. Stacy of Forest City, NC; grandchildren, Victoria Barlow, Abigail Thrift and Aaron Garner; companion, Tammie Garner. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Rocky River Baptist Church, 4436 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, Siler City, NC. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Greg Burriss officiating.
