Grady Lester Scott

Grady Lester Scott, 90, of Bear Creek died Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Siler City Center. Mr. Scott was born in Chatham County on May 24, 1929 the son of Johnny and Annie Jane (Cox) Scott. Grady was a member of Tyson's Creek Baptist Church, the Adult Men's Sunday School Class, and was a poultry farmer. Grady was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Sara Burke Scott, his parents; brothers, Clinton, Billy, Clarence, and Ernest Scott; sister, Tessie Dinkins. He is survived by daughter: Shelia Scott Beal, husband Melvin of Goldston; sons: Danny Scott, wife, Vicky of Goldston and Michael Scott, wife Hazellean of Bear Creek; brother: Russell Scott, wife, Carlotta of Bear Creek; grandchildren, Rhonda Smith, Sara Blair Auman, Stacey O'Hare, Rebecca Culberson, Sara Mae Beal, Jeffrey Michael Scott; great grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, and Matthew Smith, Tyler Scott and Amber Scott Bonde, Ben and Charlie O'Hare, Lane Culberson, and Nora Grace Auman; great-great-granddaughter, Kelsey A private graveside service will be held with Rev. Scott Walker officiating. Memorials may be made to Siler City Center, Memory Care Unit, 900 West Dolphin Street, Siler City.
