Glenn Lindsey Langley, 95 was called to eternal peace and comfort on May 20,2018 after several years of declining health. Mr. Langley was born in Chatham County on February 18, 1923 to J. C. and Mary Kate Smith Langley. Glenn loved his family, his church and had a sharp sense of humor. He was a long time member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church in Siler City and retired from Selig Furniture Manufacture.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Helen B. Langley, sons; Robert Glenn Langley (Brenda) of Douglasville, Ga., Shannon Langley (Carolyn) of Raleigh, NC, daughter; Debbie Coore of Siler City, daughters-in-law; Rebecca Langley, Elma Lou Langley, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great- grandchildren. Mr. Langley was preceded in death by his parents, sons; James Langley and Donald Langley, brother; Clyde Langley, half- brother; Floyd Langley and son-in-law; William Coore, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, 2343 Piney Grove Church Road, Siler City, with Rev. Jim Folks officiating. Burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the services in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the home of the daughter, 551 Fellowship Church Road, Siler City.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the staff of Universal Healthcare in Ramseur, Dr. Peggy Brewer, in home caretaker, Ava Bayles and Hospice of Randolph County.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Piney Grove UMC or to Hospice of Randolph County.
