Gladys Craven Stout James

Gladys Craven Stout James, 93, of 82 Shelton Lane, Siler City died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Pine Lake Health & Rehabilitation, Carthage, NC. Mrs. James was born June 9, 1919 in Davidson County, the daughter of Ralph and Ida (Cole) Craven. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Kirby B. Stout and Rev. James M. James, a son, David Ray Stout; sister and brothers, Juanita, Colon and Leonard. She is survived by one daughter: Charlotte S. Jones of Siler City, NC; two sons: K. Earle Stout of Siler City, NC; George Edward Stout of Gloucester, NC; 10 grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren; a step daughter; Eleanor Moses of Pittsboro, NC. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 3:00-4:00 PM at the home of a granddaughter, Cherie Bowman, 348 Gilliland Road, Siler City, NC. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM.
