Gerald Scott Marcle, 67, of West Elk Street, Siler City died Friday, February 14, 2014 at Siler City Center.
Mr. Marcle was born in Mobile, Alabama on May 28, 1946 the son of Henry Harvey and Bill Evelyn (Powers) Marcle. Gerald retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Master Sergerant after 24 years of dedicated service and had served in Vietnam. He was an avid Alabama fan, an avid fisherman and a member of the American Bass Association. He had been active in the meals on wheels program with the Chatham County Council on Aging.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Suzann Marcle; daughter, Natalie Marcle Harris and husband, Jimmy of Greensboro, NC; one son: Gerald Marcle, II and wife, Candice of Cary, NC; grandsons, Nathan Marcle and Jacob Harris.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 1101 West Raleigh Street, Siler City with Rev. Clyde Denny and Rev. Josh Dawalt officiating.
