Georgia Rea Dunn Moore

Georgia Rea Dunn Moore, 87, of Bonlee died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Wesley Long Community Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Moore was born in Chatham County on February 8, 1928, the daughter of George Thomas and Beulah (Lloyd) Dunn. She was a member of Sandy Branch Baptist Church, a choir member, and a nursery worker. Georgia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved all children and who always had time for her family. She enjoyed cooking, needle point and shopping trips with her sister. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Shelton and Ray Dunn; sisters, Mannie Emerson and Mae Laughon. She is survived by her husband of 65 years: T. Curtis Moore; two sons: James C. Moore and wife, Sandra of Lexington, NC, Alan T. Moore of Bonlee, NC; one brother: Joe Dunn of Bonlee, NC; grandchildren, Curtis Moore, Brett Moore (Amanda Frye), John Thomas Moore, Matti Moore and Michael Moore; great-grandchild, Kirian Veach. The funeral will be Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 4:00 PM at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, 715 Sandy Branch Church Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Marc Sanders, Rev. Womack Keck, and Rev. Allen Overton officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday following the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
