George Conner Langley

George Conner Langley, 74, of West Brower Avenue, Liberty died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. Langley was born in Randolph County on April 26, 1939 the son of Floyd Lee and Carrie (Connor) Langley. George was a friendly sociable person with a love of animals especially his faithful companion, Petey. He had worked for Stout Furniture as a band saw operator, enjoyed carpentry work and NASCAR Racing. He is survived by one son, George Lee Langley of Siler City, NC; three daughters: Alice Sue Cope of Ramseur, NC, Carol Ann Langley of Greensboro, NC, Kathy Lou Aguilar of Liberty, NC;; sister: Bertha Faye Whitt of Cedar Falls, NC and seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 1:45 - 2:45 at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City. A graveside service will follow Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery, N. Chatham Ave, Siler City with Rev. Bob Wachs officiating.
