Gene Arnold Duncan, Sr.

Gene Arnold Duncan, Sr., 91, of Eden, passed away Thursday, April 10th, 2025, at Ancora Compassionate Care surrounded by family.

Arnold was born in Chatham County on September 5th, 1933, to the late Glenn and Clarice Duncan. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marquita Robertson Duncan; and his brother, Avery Duncan.

Arnold worked as an office manager in textiles at J.P. Stevens. He was an Army Veteran in the Korean conflict. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Wallace, NC. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Gene Duncan, Jr and his wife, Angie Roberts of Floyd, VA, and Todd Duncan of Eden; his two sisters, Glenna Lewis and Betty Friddle; and special family, Sharon, Lynn, Angie, Cindy, and Michelle.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 18th, 2025, at 11 am, at Rocky River Baptist Church. Services will be officiated by Dr. Greg Burriss.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to either Rocky River Baptist Church, 4436 Siler City – Snow Camp Rd. Siler City, NC 27344, First Baptist Church, 408 West Main St., Wallace, NC 28466, or Gibson House, 2150 NC 65, Reidsville, NC 27320.
