Gary Wayne Keck

Gary Wayne Keck, 71, of Pittsboro-Goldston Road, Bear Creek died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill. Mr. Keck was born in Chatham County on August 19, 1943 the son of Alton Henry and Martha Alice (Hart) Keck. He attended Antioch Christian Church and was a retired mechanic from the Chatham County School System with 25 years of service. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Ann (Elkins) Keck; daughter: Paula Keck Barrows and husband, Chris of Bear Creek, NC; granddaughters, Reagan, Kaitlyn, Kenley Barrows sisters: Peggy Riddle and husband, Jack of Sanford, NC, Glendale Carpenter of Pittsboro, NC, Linda Kelly and husband, Lewis of Sanford, NC, Faye Boys of Murrells Inlet, SC; brother: Randy Keck of Bear Creek, NC and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, February 13, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC and other times at the home of his daughter, Paula, 4248 Pittsboro-Goldston Road, Bear Creek. The funeral will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Christian Church, 246 Antioch Christian Church Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Womack Keck, Rev. Gary McCollough, Rev.
