Francis Edward Albright "Newground", 92, of Siler City died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Coventry House Of Siler City.
Mr. Albright was born in Chatham County on September 24, 1922 the eighth child of Thomas and Ida (Teague) Albright. Known as "Newground", he was an Army Veteran of WWII and a farmer. He attended Piney Grove United Methodist Church and Fellowship Baptist Church. Newground was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching baseball.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Scott Albright; his parents; brothers and sister, William Clyde Albright, Kara H. Albright, R. Max Albright, Delette Albright Bridges, Slocum Lewis Albright, Naman (Pete) Albright and Stamey Albright.
He is survived by a step- son: Mitchell Lutterloh and wife, Judy of Graham, NC; step-grandchildren, Justin Lutterloh and wife, Holli, Aaron Lutterloh and wife, Jessica; step-great-grandchildren, Ava Grace Lutterloh, Autumn Lane Lutterloh, Clayton Lee Lutterloh; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City with Keith Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery, Liberty.
