Frances Griffin Robbins, 90, of Siler City died Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Coventry House of Siler City.
Mrs. Robbins was born in Chatham County on December 31, 1924 the daughter of Fred and Sally (Lowe) Griffin. She was a member of the Siler City Presbyterian Church where she had served as a Deacon, member of the choir and served as coordinator of the monthly breakfast. Frances retired from Kellwood Company after more than 50 years of service. She enjoyed long walks and singing gospel music.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Robbins; her parents; sisters, Ailene Lambert, Edith P. Moore; half-sister and brothers, Cloyce Poe, Jack Pickard and Jerry Pickard; step-sister and brothers, Ruby Blair, Doug Pickard, Butch Pickard, Howard Pickard.
She is survived by one daughter: Phyllis Robbins Patman and husband, Bill of Seven Lakes, NC; granddaughter, Jennifer Pritchett and husband, Jason of Atlanta; two great-grandchildren, Pierce and Lane; cousin, Kenneth McPherson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Siler City Presbyterian Church, 720 W. 3rd St., Siler City, NC. The funeral will follow at 12:00 Noon at Siler City Presbyterian Church with Pastor Sue Flippin and Rev. Richard LaDew officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
