Faye Scott Wilkie

Faye Scott Wilkie, 80, of 3078 Robert Chapel Road, Goldston died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford. Mrs. Wilkie was born September 25, 1931 the daughter of Arthur J. and Zuma (Vansickle) Scott. Mrs. Wilkie was a native of Grant County Oklahoma. Faye was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, a life time member of WMU. She was retired from Kayser-Roth, and had a passion for yard work, loved the fall season and going to the mountains. She is preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Wilkie and grandson, Kenny R. Lester. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack Wilkie, of the home; daughter: Diane Wilkie Lester and husband, Lynn of Goldston, NC; and son: Robert Dean Wilkie and wife, Phyllis of Liberty, NC; brother: Russell D. Scott and wife Deanna of Stinnett, TX; grandson, Brad Wilkie and wife, Dana; granddaughter, Lindy Lester; great grandchildren, Kenny Lester and Kobe Flynn. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11, 2011 form 6 to 8 PM at the Smith and Buckner Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, 3825 Bonlee-Carbonton Road, Goldston with Rev. Barry Lawrence officiating.
