Faye Mashburn Anders, 82, of 1164 NC Hwy 42 West, Goldston died Monday, October 8, 2012 at Siler City Care & Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Anders was born in Chatham County on June 29, 1930 the daughter of James R. and Josie (Dowd) Mashburn. Faye was a member of Carbonton United Methodist Church. She worked for 20 years at Southern Webbing Mill in Greensboro and retired from the Boling Company in Siler City. Faye was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Wilma Oldham and Ethel Beal; brothers, Preston, Milton and Roosevelt Mashburn.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, R. V. Anders of Goldston; one daughter: Darlene Bristow and husband, Joe of Trinity, NC and two sons: Steve Anders and wife, Alice of Oak Ridge, NC, Kenneth Anders of Goldston, NC; two sisters: Shirley Wyrick of Siler City, NC, Nancy Harrell of Salisbury, NC; grandchildren, Tania Anders, Brandon Anders, Lenena Pegg and Joseph Bristow; great-grandchildren, Myah, Kaylee, Kaydan and Adley.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. A graveside service will be Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Carbonton United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5442 Carbonton Road, Sanford with Rev. Ira Smith officiating.
