Evelyn Beavers Thompson

Evelyn Beavers Thompson, 86, of Siler City, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Village Lake Inn.

She was born in Alamance County on January 28, 1936, the daughter of Thomas Folger and Myrtle Stephens Allen. 

Evelyn was a previous member of Oakley Baptist Church, later becoming a member of the Siler City Pentecostal Holiness/Journey Church. She was committed to her church fellowship, and raising and encouraging her family to know and love Jesus. In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her first husband, Hal Beavers, and son, Stephen Beavers.

She is survived by her children, Roger Beavers and wife Konny of Siler City, Darrell Beavers and wife Kayla of Murfreesboro, TN, Lisa B. Allison and husband Todd of Siler City, and Angie Montgomery and husband Thomas of Sanford; daughter in law, Debbie Beavers; sister, Eunice Terry; grandchildren, Courtney, Brynn, Katie and Christian, Alyssa, and Callie, Trea, Elijah and Bethany, and Tricia, Kara, Dylan and Nick; great grandchildren, Truitt, Lane, Micah, Hazel, Palmer, Wilkes, Kailyn, Aiden, Ashton, Breanna, Alexis, Jayla, Rylan, Brennon, Silas, Quintin, Rosemary, Addison, Anise, Valerie, Chloe, Natalie, Vaida and Bodhi; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 N. Second Ave., Siler City, and other times at the family home on 5809 Siler City-Glendon Road. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Siler City Pentecostal Holiness/Journey Church, 17475 US HWY 64 West, Siler City with Pastor Derrick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Oakley Baptist Church Cemetery, 2300 Siler City-Glendon Road, Siler City.
