Miss Evelyn Dixon Smith, 83, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Coventry House in Siler City. She was born July 9, 1932 and was preceded in death by her parents, Kerney J. and Ethel D. Smith. She was employed by Kellwood Co. and Boling Chair until her retirement. She was a member of Oakley Baptist Church and Pauline Powers Sunday School Class. She is survived by a brother, Gary L. Smith and wife, Sarah; one nephew, Anthony Smith and wife, Shannon of Asheboro; two special great nephews, Trenton and Garrett Smith. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 10:00 – 12:00 Noon at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM at Oakley Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Ellison officiating.
