Eunice Mae Shepard

Eunice Mae Shepard, age 86, of 711 Crockett Road, Crockett, VA. died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Wythe Community Hospital. Service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Sandy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Marc Sanders officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 7:00-8:30 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home in Siler City. Mrs. Shepard was born in Sampson County, NC on December 1, 1925. She attended church during her prior residential stay in Bear Creek at Sandy Branch Baptist Church. She enjoyed the coast, mountains and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Willard Shepard of Virginia; sons, Ron Shepard of North Carolina, Keith Shepard of Georgia and Wally Shepard of Minnesota. She is preceded in death by brothers, Liston Smith and Harold Smith. She is survived by nieces Javetta Clark and Jennifer Thomas of North Carolina; nephew, Tony Smith of North Carolina. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home in Siler City is handling the arrangements.
