Emma Wilkie Brewer

Emma Wilkie Brewer, 85 died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Cambridge Hills, Pittsboro. Mrs. Brewer was born December 26, 1926 the daughter of Archie and Ethel (Hilliard) Wilkie. Mrs. Brewer was a native of Chatham County and was a homemaker. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, O. L. "Pete" Brewer, brothers, Frank, Robert and Rupert Wilkie and sister, Mae Gaines. Emma is survived by daughter: Denise B. Thomas and husband, Jerry of Goldston, NC and son: Larry Brewer of Siler City, NC, sisters: Elma Hatch and husband, Tom of Durham, NC, Frona Eads of Siler City, NC, Mollie Woody and husband, Donald and Linda Wicker and husband, Eddie both of Goldston, NC, grandchildren, Jodi Hearn and husband, Barry; Jessica LaDronka and husband, Brad, Natasha Cook and husband, Rodney, great-grandchildren, Brayden Hearn and Madison Cook. The family will receive friends Monday, October 29, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Providence Independent Methodist Church, Providence Church Road, Siler City. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM with Rev. Ray Gooch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
