Elaine Brewer Horne

Elaine Brewer Horne, 73, of Raleigh died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Rex Health Care, Raleigh. Mrs. Horne was born in Chatham County on March 11, 1942 the daughter of James Warren and Frances (Buckner) Brewer. Elaine was a graduate of Silk Hope School and East Carolina University where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She taught school for many years and retired as a real estate agent. Elaine was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church and also a member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh and had a love of music. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one daughter: Susan Horne Willson and husband, Scott of Raleigh, NC;one sister: Candace B. Johnson and husband, Kent of Siler City, NC; one brother, James B. "Jimmy" Brewer and wife, Jenny of Siler City, NC; grandchildren, Mary Scott Willson and Hinson Willson. The funeral will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Rocky River Baptist Church, 4436 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, Siler City with Rev. Greg Burriss officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
