Edith G. Roberson, age 71, of Siler City died Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Mrs. Roberson was a native of Montgomery County, born January 10, 1949, the daughter of Roy F. and Myrtle Williamson Greene. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Alton, Paul and Jim Greene, and sister Linda Fay Greene. Edith was of the Baptist faith, a UNC Fan who loved making jewelry, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She loved going to and setting up auctions. She was employed as a home health caregiver. She is survived by her husband of 31 years; Julian Roberson and one son; Randy Hilliard of Siler City, sister; Ula Mae Kellam of Star, and brother; Leon Greene of Robbins, granddaughter; Skyler Hilliard of Siler City. There will be a graveside service Friday, September 4, 2020 at 2:00pm, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 17721 NC Hwy 902, Bear Creek with Rev Darrell Garner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Mid-Atlantic Affiliate, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060, www.americanheart.org or strokeassociation.org or the American Diabetes Association, 1300 Baxter St., Suite 150, Charlotte, NC 28204, www.diabetes.org/honor Smith and Buckner is assisting the Roberson Family.
