Doug Harris, Sr.

Doug Harris, Sr.,70, of Silk Hope died Friday, March 28, 2014. Mr. Harris was a native of Chatham County. Doug was a self employed concrete worker, enjoyed fishing, hunting and his dog, Cheeto. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Harris and Mary Johnson Harris. He is survived by daughter: Paula Ray and husband, Jeff of Chapel Hill, NC; son: Gregg Harris, Jr. and wife, Angela of Burlington, NC; sister: Linda Kester and husband, Dan of Graham, NC; Grandchildren; Colt Harris, Taylor Ray, Harrison Ray, Paul Allred and Henry Allred. The funeral service will be 1:30 PM Monday March 31, 2014 at Browns Chapel UMC, with Rev. Ray Gooch and Rev. Carl Belcher officiating with burial in the church cemetery.Visitation will follow the service in the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC, 27215.
