Dorothy Henson

Dorothy " Dot" Moody Henson, 77, of US Hwy 64 West, Siler City went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Care View Rest Home, Snow Camp. Mrs. Henson was born in Stokes County on November 1, 1934 the daughter of Gurney and Lena (Stultz) Moody and a graduate of Asheboro High School. Dot was a homemaker and a member of the Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church where she sang in the choir. She helped at Brownie Lu Restaurant and assisted with election polls. Dot was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Sherry Dawn; brothers, Jimmy and Robert Moody. She is survived by her husband of 58 years: Jack Henson; two sons: Greg Henson and wife, Pam of Siler City, NC, Rick Henson and wife, Connie of Siler City, NC; one daughter: Vickie Morris and husband, Danny of Liberty, NC; one brother: David Moody of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Emily H. Pellitt, Jack Henson, II, Brooke L. Little, Meredith Henson, Michael Morris and Megan M. Daniels. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 9:30-11:00 AM at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church, 17475 US 64 W, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mark Richardson and Rev. Jerry Foley officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
