Doris Fern Jordan

Doris Fern Brewer Jordan, 79, of Bear Creek passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 surrounded by loved ones at her home in Bear Creek. Mrs. Jordan was born April 5, 1941, a Chatham County native and the daughter of Kenny Herbert and Alma Hicks Brewer. Doris was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She loved spending her free time fishing, playing solitaire and putting together puzzles. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Parker Jordan, Jr., and grandson Stephen Gaines. She is survived by her daughter Denise Gaines of Bear Creek, sister; Mary Ann Hutchins of Bennett, granddaughter; Jennifer Stewart; and great grandson; Clay Stewart. A private graveside service will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church Cemetery, 396 NC Hwy 42, Goldston with Rev. Arlen Johnson officiating. Smith & Buckner is assisting the Jordan family.
