Donald Richard Swaim, Sr.

Donald Richard Swaim, Sr., 73, of Moore Street, Siler City died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Randolph Health, Asheboro. Mr. Swaim was born in Randolph County on May 5, 1943 the son of Dewey Walter Swaim, Sr. and Ollie Martha (Kidd) Swaim. He was a member of Brookdale Baptist Church, Siler City and a retired maintenance worker with Collins and Aikman. Donald enjoyed wood working, gardening and time spent with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters. Donald is survived by his wife of 53 years: Mary (Brown) Swaim; two daughters: Amanda Kimrey and husband, Shane of Siler City, Tracey Saunders and husband, Daniel of Bennett; three sons: Don Swaim and wife, Song-Hui of Newport News, VA, Joe Swaim and wife, Debbie of Liberty, NC and Michael Swaim and wife, Janet of Siler City; two sisters: Mary Dixon, and Brenda Goins; one brother: Eugene Swaim of all of Randleman; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Brush Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 5345 Airport Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Troy Edward Brown officiating.
