Dixie Smith Brown

Dixie Smith Brown, 88, of Hunters Trail, Myrtle Beach, SC died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Brown was born in Siler City, NC on May 22, 1924 the daughter of William Robert and Laura (Adcock) Smith. After moving to Myrtle Beach, Dixie and her husband, Therrell, purchased the Sea Esta Motel, which they operated for many years. She is survived by one sister: Peggy Medlin of Arkansas; one brother: Ray Smith of Greensboro, NC and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
