Dick Charles Dressler

Dick "Red" Charles Dressler, 91, of Siler City died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Genesis Healthcare, Siler City. Mr. Dressler was born July 5, 1928 in Red Banks, NJ. He was a Metal Fabricator for many years. Red was a member of Community Baptist Church and enjoyed making bird houses, working in his flowers, and building all kinds of things. He loved spending time with his family especially having cookouts. Mr. Dressler was preceded in death by his parents and son, Timmy Ray Kearns. He is survived by his wife: Ella Mae Smith Dressler; daughter: Janie Tuttle of Julian; and sons: Jeffrey Kearns and wife Teresa of Siler City, Dennis Kearns of Climax and Johnny Kearns and wife Pam of Staley; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. A private service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2020. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memorials Processing, Memphis, TN 38105-9959, www.stjude.org/memorial.
