Debby Welch Brafford

Debby Lynn Welch Brafford, 57, of Rosser Road, Bear Creek died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Brafford was born on January 16, 1959, the daughter of Marvin Lee Welch, Sr. and Ruby Hazel Rosser Welch. She was born in Lee County, and was a 1977 graduate of Chatham Central High School. Debby was employed with Static Control for 22 years, and attended Asbury United Methodist Church. Debby enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, going out to eat, the beach, loved her dogs, Bobo and Roscoe, and was a hard worker. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by husband of 27 years, James E. Brafford of the home, sons: Johnny Brafford of the home, Brian Beauchamp and wife, Kelly of Raleigh, sister, Jane W. Terrell of Bear Creek, brother, Marvin Lee Welch, Jr. and wife, Marissa of Bear Creek, grandchildren, Brian Anthony "Tony" Beauchamp, Jenifer Renee' Beauchamp, Ashlynn Marie Brafford; nephews, William Adam Welch and Grant Lee Welch. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. At Other times they will be at the family home. The funeral will be Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Asbury United Methodist Church, 805 Asbury Church Road, Sanford with Rev. Donald Burns and Rev. Ira Smith officiating.
