Deann White Woody

Deann White Woody, 44, of Siler City died Friday, August 2, 2013. She is survived by her devoted husband, Todd Woody. Deann was born and raised in the Silk Hope community in Chatham County. She graduated high school from the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, where she studied voice. Married soon after that, she and Todd lived in Philadelphia and San Diego while he served in the U.S. Navy. Deann received her associates degree in Accounting while living in California. When they moved back to North Carolina, she worked at CCI in Siler City. Deann was preceded in death by her father, Arthur White. She is survived by her mother Lula Margaret White of Siler City, and siblings Thomas (Tom) White and Mary Beth of Asheboro, Donald (Don) White and Vicky Olive of Carrboro, Ronald White and Evelyn of Silk Hope, Audrey Pilkington and Larry of Garner, and Helen McGee and Mike of Raleigh. Her nieces and nephews are Leah Sugg and Jeff of Erect, Amanda Julian and Kris of Asheboro, Leslie Lynette and Chris of Garner, Joshua White and Stacey of Silk Hope, Raley White of São Paulo, Brazil, Daner White of Wilmington, and Charlie and Zachary McGee of Raleigh. There are six loving great-nieces and great-nephews. Deann's caring in-laws are Bobby and Sue Woody of Bennett. Her mother-in-law is Mae Glasgow and Tim of Lake Gaston. Siblings by marriage are Jim Woody and Sandra of Pfafftown, Sherry Parker and Randy of Moncure, and Dwayne Moody of Winston-Salem. Two nieces are Katelyn and Lauryn Parker. The funeral will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Emmaus Baptist Church at 2430 Silk Hope Gum Springs Road, Pittsboro, NC 27312. The visitation will precede the service at 2:00pm in the fellowship hall. The graveside service and burial will be at Sapling Ridge United Methodist Church immediately following the funeral.
