David Thomas Osborne, 61, of 320 Martin Luther King Blvd., Siler City died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Osborne was born August 18, 1950 in Middletown, Ohio the son of the Charles Richard and Marilyn Allen Osborne.
David was the torch bearer for the Special Olympics and the group home representative for the North Carolina House of Representatives. He played soccer and baseball at Campbell College and loved to dance. David was preceded in death by his step- father, Martin Freed and his father, Charles Osborne. David was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Allen Freed.
A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Chatham Memorial Park, 13260 Hwy 64 West, Siler City with Father James Fukes OFM officiating. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the entire staff of the group homes, particularly David Welch.
