Daniel Austin Everwine, Sr.

Daniel Austin Everwine, Sr., 89, of Bradford Rogers Lane, Siler City died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Everwine, Sr. was born in Gloucester County, New Jersey on October 11, 1925 the son of Jeremiah N. and Geneva (Blake) Everwine. Daniel was a self- employed carpenter and farmer. He was a principled man of strong faith that was evident in all his work. He was a member of Pittsboro Church of the Nazarene. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Adelaide Brewer, William, Jeremiah, Harold and Charles Everwine and daughter-in-law, Ruthann L. Everwine. He is survived by his wife of 69 years: Blanche (Neuschafer) Everwine, daughters: Rose Everwine Fields and husband, William of Siler City, NC, Susan L. Johnson and husband, Robert of Glenmoore, PA, Marcia J. Murphy and husband, Scott of Siler City, NC, Terry Lee Johnson and husband, Scott of Siler City, NC, Kathleen Borgman and husband, James of Taylors, SC, Luanne Everwine Miller and husband, Terrence of Siler City, NC; sons: Charles M. Everwine, Sr. and wife, Jonica of Leola, PA, Daniel A. Everwine, Jr. and wife, Renee of Siler City, NC; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; caregiver, Wanda Burgess. The family will receive friends Friday, March 27, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Fields and Rev. James Borgman officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
