Cletus Alexander Stevens, 74, of Siler City died Saturday, April 9, 2016.
Mr. Stevens was born in Alamance County on May 1, 1941 the son of Roland Lee and Esbie Elizabeth (Scotten) Stevens. Cletus was a member of Plainfield Friends Meeting and retired from Ramtex where he had worked as a supply clerk. His favorite pastimes were times spent with family and fishing.
Cletus was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry Ross and Randall Lee Stevens.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Linda (Fuquay) Stevens; daughter: Patty Stevens Brooks and husband, Scott of Bear Creek; son: Jeffrey Lynn Stevens and wife, Rhonda of Ramseur; grandchildren, Melissa Dech of Burlington, Tyler Stevens and wife, Rachel of Ramseur, Joshua Brooks and wife, Jessica of Siler City, Matthew Brooks of Bear Creek; great-grandchildren, Serinity Jewel Stevens and Jeffrey Colton Stevens.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 11, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Plainfield Friends Meeting, 1956 Plainfield Church Road, Siler City with Kevin Rollins and Ken Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery.
