Claude Oscar Teague, 86, of Siler City died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House, Lexington.
Mr. Teague was born in Caswell County on July 20, 1930 the son of James S. Teague, Jr. and Mamie (Phillips) Teague.
Claude retired from Church Interiors of High Point as an upholsterer. He also had worked for Spence Building Supply in the installation of flooring. Claude was a member of the Siler City First Wesleyan Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. He enjoyed working, was a sports enthusiast and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, yard work and wood working.
Claude was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, LaNilta Brady Teague; an infant son, Wendell Teague; brothers Junior Teague and Walter Thomas Teague; sisters, Marie Phillips, Betty Cockman, and Sylvia Moody.
He is survived by one daughter: Kim Teague Branson and husband David; one son: Reggie Teague and wife, Paula of all of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Nathan and Austin Teague,
Alex Branson and wife, Catherine, Anna and Aiden Branson; great-granddaughter, Kara Branson;two sisters: Shirley T. Phillips and Maggie T. Cox both of Bear Creek, NC.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 2:00-3:00 PM at First Wesleyan Church, 608 N. 3rd Ave., Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 PM at First Wesleyan Church, Siler City with Rev. Don Southern, Rev. Jerry Foley officiating.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
