Clara Frances Jones Lopossay

Clara Jones Lopossay of Siler City died peacefully Monday, October 14, 2013 at Siler City Center. Mrs. Lopossay was born in Chatham County on July 13, 1924 the daughter of Manley and Mossie (Hicks) Jones. She was a member of Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church and The Adult Sunday School Class. Clara was retired from Chatham County Schools Food Service. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, yard work, sitting on her front porch and cooking for her family. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, James David Lopossay, one brother and three sisters. She is survived by one daughter: Linda Stout and husband, Larry of Ramseur, NC; son: Gary Lopossay and wife, Kay of Bear Creek, NC; one brother: Leland Jones of Asheboro, NC; granddaughters, Jamie (Mike) Fogleman of Liberty, Shelley (Patrick) Stover of Asheboro, Allayna (Stephen) Cockman of Bear Creek; great-grandchildren, Blakeley Fogleman, Brody Fogleman (both of Liberty), Andrew Stover, and Keegan Stover (both of Asheboro). The family will receive friends Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 6:30-8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church, 17475 US 64 W, Siler City. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
