Christopher Parrish "Pork Chop" Dixon, 53, of Davis Road, Siler City died Monday, June 15, 2015 at UNC Hospitals. Mr. Dixon was born in Chatham County on March 1, 1962 the son of Joseph S. Dixon, Jr. and Barbara Crump. Chris was employed by Hart Furniture for 33 years as a truck driver. He then became the owner/operator of Sam's Cafe of Siler City. Chris loved to talk and cook. Chris was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, J. H. and Mary Crump. He is survived by one daughter: Wendy Renee Dixon of Siler City, NC; one son: Christopher Blake Dixon of Siler City, NC; grandson, Stephen Karl Silhan, III; granddaughter, Kiley P. Dixon; three brothers: Ben Dixon of Seymour, TN, Eddie Dixon of Siler City, NC, Doug Dixon of Siler City, NC; step-mother, Sandra Dixon of Siler City, NC; step-daughter, Stephanie Moore of Bear Creek, NC; significant other, Helen Moore of Siler City, NC. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC.
