Charlie Carson Routh

Charlie Carson "CC" Routh, Jr., 90, of Bonlee died Monday, March 11, 2013 at Coventry House Of Siler City. Mr. Routh was born in Randolph County on March 28, 1922 the son of Charles C. and Elizabeth Jane (Cox) Routh, Sr. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and a cattle farmer. CC, as he was known, enjoyed the outdoors, wood working and was a "Mr. Fix-it", who was able to repair most anything. He is survived by his wife: Lorene (Wilkie) Routh; two daughters: Janet R. Johnson and husband, Richard of Winterville, NC, Nancy R. Selken and husband, Robert of Tallahassee, Florida; brother, John Routh of Bear Creek and a granddaughter, Logan Johnson of Winterville, NC. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Bonlee Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Wachs officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
