Charlie Wiley Cagle

Charlie Wiley Cagle, 83, of Siler City died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Siler City Center. Mr. Cagle was born in Moore County on October 1, 1931 He had been employed as a chicken catcher. He enjoyed walking, time spent with his family and listening to country music. Charlie was affectionately known as "Pops" by the nursing home staff. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Brown Cagle and his parents, Jonah Franklin and Mintie Williams Cagle. He is survived by one daughter: Linda Kay Holt and husband, Delbert of Siler City, NC; two sons: Franklin Cagle of Siler City, NC, Jerry Cagle and wife, Jill of Pittsboro, NC; one sister: Louise Cagle Garner of Robbins, NC; six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, July 17, 2015 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC and other times at the home of the daughter, 1003 York Street, Lot 15, Siler City. The funeral will be Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Union Grove Baptist Church, 7912 Union Grove Church Road, Seagrove with Rev. Dr. Ron Chaney officiating.
