Charles Deane Beaver

Charles Deane Beaver, 74, of 1355 Dean Beaver Road, Bear Creek died Friday, December 28, 2012 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Beaver was born in Chatham County on June 26, 1938 the son of Coley and Ruby (Henson) Beaver. He was retired with the NC DOT as a heavy equipment operator. Deane was a member of Sandy Branch Baptist Church and served as a former Deacon. He taught Sunday school at Hill Forest Rest Home for 26 years. Deane will be remembered for his love of horses, wagons and motorcycles. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Helen (Stone) Beaver, one daughter: Denise Beaver of Bear Creek, NC; two sons: Bryant Beaver of Bear Creek, NC, Barry Beaver of Siler City, NC; three sisters: Ann Glosson of Pittsboro, NC, Shirley Fritz of Princeton, KY, Alicia Kidd of Bear Creek, NC; one brother: Jay Carr Beaver of Pittsboro, NC; two grandsons, Duane and Wesley Jones. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Monday, December 31, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, 715 Sandy Branch Church Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Marc Sanders and Rev. Bob Wachs officiating.
