Carolyn Mensch Moody

Carolyn Mensch Moody, 66, of Siler City died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at UNC Hospitals. Mrs. Moody was born in Chatham County on April 4, 1949 the daughter of Wayne F. and Loraine (Malone) Mensch. Carolyn attended Providence Independent Methodist Church and was a 1968 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School where she completed a cosmetology course. She was the owner/operator of Look-N-Good Hair Salon. Carolyn enjoyed making jewelry, reading and shopping. She is survived by her husband of 42 years: David F. Moody, Sr. of the home; son, David F. Moody, Jr. of Siler City, NC; two sisters: Becky M. Jones of Greensboro, NC, Marty Mensch of Siler City, NC; two brothers: Frank Mensch, Jr. of Burlington, NC and Billy Ray Mensch of Siler City, NC. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
