Burnett Wendel Esch

Burnett "Bud" Wendel Esch, 85, of Siler City, passed away on August 30, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones at his home. 

Mr. Esch was born in St. Johns Michigan on May 8, 1937, the son of Burnett Casper and Zelma Grace Bond Esch. 

He was a member of Meroney United Methodist Church, where he loved attending services, and treasured his relationship with God. Bud was a Contractor for more than 50 years, and spent over 25 years as an Auto Mechanic. He had a love for racing cars, and could fix anything. Bud had a heart of gold, loved his family and helping others. Mr. Esch is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Doris Lightner.

Bud is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn Marie Esch; daughters, Gerrie Dean and husband Rick, Laura Lucile Gillespie and husband Richard; son, Larry Eugene Esch; brothers, Mike and Gary Esch; sister, Linda Snow; grandchildren, Kellie Marie Sopczynski, Kerrie Consuela DiGia, James Michael Gillespie, Kevin Barry Gillespie, Terra Leigh Wells, and Aubrey Paige Buchmann; great grandchildren, Cassidy Linn Wells, Teagan Olear Wells, Deacon James Wells, Graicen Mae Knox, Camilla Rose DiGia, Harrison Jewell DiGia, Myah Nichole Gillespie, and Maeve James Gillespie.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday September 5, 2022 at Meroney United Methodist Church Cemetery, 10568 NC Hwy 902, Bear Creek, NC with Reverend Dr. Fred Mangeni officiating.
