Blanche Elizabeth Thompson Cline, 89, of Goldston, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, surrounded by family.
Blanche was born September 25th, 1935, in Edgecombe County to the late Barney Byrd and Gertrude Elizabeth Pennington Thompson. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie Cline, Jr.; her brother, Burnice Thompson; her sister, Margaret Thompson; her son, Eddie Goins; and her granddaughter, Simone Nicole Alston.
Blanche is survived by her children, Angela Cline, Shvonne Rodriguez, Jaylon Cline, Deja Cline, Johnnie Cline, and Raeshaun Cline; her great grandchildren, Breanna Schwankl, Amelia Rodriguez, Zva Rodriguez, and Abdiel Rodriguez; her great grandchild, Michael Ray Butler; and her sisters, Peggy and Patricia; and her furry friends, Patches and Rosita and the rest of her furry family.
Blanche was a chicken farmer. She loved to sew, crochet, and spending time with the animals. She also loved to spend time with her family making memories. In her free time, she also enjoyed watching TV, working her puzzle books, cheering for Jeff Gordon and Duke basketball, and she loved hummingbirds and butterflies. Blanche also loved to dance and listen to gospel music, eat sugar free candy, and spit sour words to her family.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 14th, 2025, at 1 pm, at Chatham Memorial Park.
Smith & Buckner Funeral Home will be assisting the Cline family.
