Billy Ray Davis, 39, of Siler City died Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Mr. Davis was born in Easley, South Carolina on December 19, 1980 the son of Kenneth Ray Davis and Kathy Davis Fedney. Billy attended Mount Vernon Springs Presbyterian Church and employed as a cook with Smithfield Chicken and BBQ. Billy is described as a strong willed, hardworking family man with a huge heart who loved his wife and daughters. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Christopher Ray Davis. He is survived by his wife of 17 years: Glenda (Emerson) Davis; daughters, Destiny Emerson, Lilly, Annie and Ruby Davis of the home; mother, Kathy Fedney; sisters, Angel Salyers of Siler City, Diana Johnson of Baltimore, MD and Dee Dee Davis of Siler City; brother: Christopher "Bubba" Davis of Siler City and a host of extended family. Funeral Service will be Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Springs Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Browder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends at the family home. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
