Betty Lou Tabon

Betty Lou Tabon was born to David and Lutishie Tabon on February 23, 1940 in Broadway, NC. She finished her journey on September 2, 2021 where she joins her parents, her siblings, Willie, Chester, Jimmy, Youver, Grace, Eve, Sue, Ruth and Timothy, her son Samuel Sales and her grandson Jerry.

Betty was a strong, independent woman who raised 5 children, Wanda McDougald Cheek and husband Allen of Chapel Hill, Lisa Sales of Chapel Hill, Larry McDougald of Siler City and Phillip McDougald and wife Patricia of SC. She also leaves a sister Helen Burnette of Siler City. Mom will be remembered by her 20 grandchildren, her 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Betty will Lie in Repose on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 12:00-5:00 pm at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Chatham Memorial Park.
