Betty Shore Long

Betty Shore Long, 72, of Albert Hargrove Road, Siler City died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Chatham Hospital, Inc., Siler City. Mrs. Long was born in Alamance County on January 23, 1943 the daughter of Lawrence Daniel and Mary Elizabeth (McPherson) Shore. Betty had attended Bethlehem Wesleyan Church. She had previously worked at Kayser Roth, Wright Furniture and March Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy and Harvey Shore. She is survived by her husband of 47 years: Robert F. Long; daughter: Lisa Cox and husband, Johnny of Bear Creek, NC; son: Robert W. Long and wife, Kami of Siler City, NC; grandchildren, Ashley and Amanda Cox and Eve Long The funeral service will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Cane Creek Friends Meeting, 719 West Greensboro-Chapel Hill Road, Snow Camp with Rev. Jim Folks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
