Betty Harris Lambert

Betty Harris Lambert, 87, of Bill Lambert Road, Bear Creek died Friday, November 2, 2018. Mrs. Lambert was born in Chatham County on January 29, 1931 the daughter of Dalton and Mallie (Straughn) Harris. Betty was a homemaker, a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class. Betty was devoted to her family and her church and could always be found participating in all the events and gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Bill" Lambert; brother, Herbert Harris; sister, Linda Humphrey.

Betty is survived by daughter: Ellen L. James and husband, J. R. of Charlotte; son, Craig Lambert and wife, Sara of Siler City; two sisters: Mildred Sheffield of Atlanta, GA and Nancy Laird and husband, Andrew of Sophia; three brothers: Reid Harris of Sanford, Welford Harris and wife, Pat of Pittsboro, and Wayne Harris and wife, Clarice of Bear Creek; grandchildren, Josh Lambert (Sara), Ryan Lambert (Blair), Cameron Lambert, Brandon James (Daniella), Barry James (Carly), Chris James (Abigail); great-grandchildren, Jackson and Davis Lambert; precious friends, Marcelle Poe, Nancy Underwood, and niece, Kendra Humphrey.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church, 120 Fellowship Church Road, Siler City with Rev. Jason Golden and Rev. Bob Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
