Beryl Wade Beal, 91, of 6045 Carmon Road, Gibsonville died Sunday, November 6, 2011.
Mrs. Beal was born April 18, 1920, the daughter of Wade Hampton and Annie (Bradshaw) Siler.
Mrs. Beal was a native of Bladen County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church and was preceded in death by husband, John L. Beal, Sr., a daughter, Reba Stevenson, and two sisters, Amey Siler and Christine Usher. Beryl loved to read and enjoyed all kinds of sports.
She is survived by two daughters: Amey B. Shepherd of Gibsonville, NC, Darlene B. Mitchell of Franklinville, NC and three sons: John L. Beal, Jr. of McLeansville, NC, Butch C. Beal of Kernersville, NC, Timothy L. Beal of Randleman, NC; one sister: Mary Alice Hancock of Bonlee, NC; four brothers: Winfred Siler of Ft. Meade, FL; C. K. Siler of Greensboro, NC; Henry Siler, of Homeland, FL; Wayne Siler of Frost Proof, FL; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC and other times at the home of the sister, Mary Alice Hancock, 4429 Old US 421 S., Bonlee, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City with Rev. Kenneth Huggins officiating. Burial will follow in Loves Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
