Bertie Hord Langley

Bertie Elizabeth Hord Langley, 80, of North Pointe, Archdale, formerly of Staley died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Langley was one of eight children, born in Gaston County on February 3, 1932 the daughter of Travis Roscoe and Lorena (Belch) Hord. She had worked in furniture manufacturing and was of Baptist faith. Bertie enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and canning. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son. She is survived by one daughter: Connie Kennedy of Liberty, NC; three grandsons and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
