Bertha Scotton Person

Bertha Scotton Person, 67, of Siler City died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at UNC Hospitals.

Mrs. Person was born in Chatham County on June 16, 1950 the daughter of Howard and late Queen (Headen) Scotton. Bertha was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, working with her flowers and time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband: Wade Person; one daughter: Cassandra Foxx of Liberty; one son: Shaun Scotton of Siler City; step-children, Ellen Smith, Brian Person; grandchildren, Brandi Coble, Shaunique Scotton; step-grandchildren, Donovan Mason, Darius Mason, Jayln , Briant and Brittany Person and three great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 914 MLK Blvd, Siler City at 3:00 PM. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
