Bertha Lewis Winslow, 84, of Graham Moore Road, Staley went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 23, 2015.
Mrs. Winslow was born in Cumberland County on April 20, 1931 the daughter of Ken and Betsy Jane (Dean) Lewis. She was retired from Hadley Peoples Manufacturing. She enjoyed gardening, canning and quilting. Bertha loved her Lord and could often be found reading her Bible or watching Preacher John Hagee, Dr. Charles Stanley or Joyce Myers. She also enjoyed times spent with her family and her dog, Maggie.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, O. Thomas Winslow, Jr., son, Woodrow Mashburn; half-brother, Leon Kelly and great-great granddaughter, Summer Dawn Mashburn.
She is survived by four daughters: Norma Jean Baum and husband, Richard of Siler City, NC, Mary John Scott of Siler City, NC, Lessie Mae Selig of Siler City, NC, Mertie Ann Mashburn of Siler City, NC; two sons: Harold David Mashburn of Robbins, NC, Jessie Roland Mashburn and wife, Karen of Siler City, NC; grandchildren, Elvis Moser, Judy Mashburn, David Mashburn, Kimberly Beck, Matthew Mashburn, Chance Mashburn; great-grandchildren, Jericho Moser, Sherri Lynn Woodlief, Hannah and Jarrett Mashburn, Autumn Hunter, Alexis Beck, Abbigil Beck, Ayden Mashburn, Morgan Ann Moser; great-great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Heins.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Carbonton United Methodist Church, 5442 Carbonton Road, Sanford.
