Berniece Sayers Key

Berniece Sayers Key, 91, of 1004 Parkwood Drive, Siler City died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Heartland Living & Rehabilitation Center, Greensboro. Mrs. Key was born June 23, 1920 in Tazewell County, Virginia, the daughter of Olbert and Stella Maude (Sparks) Sayers. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Berniece was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce N. Key and her son-in-law, Randy Hobbs. She is survived by two daughters: Lynn K. Mathews and husband, John of Greensboro, NC and Diane K. Hobbs of Siler City, NC; one sister: Virginia Sayers of Garden Grove, CA; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Cemetery, N. Chatham Ave, Siler City with Rev. Clyde Denny officiating.
