Bernardine S. McAteer

Bernardine S. McAteer, 81, of Siler City died Friday, October 6, 2017 at her residence. Bernardine was born in Washington, DC, the daughter of Bernard and Rose Zito Skotniski. Ms. McAteer was a member of Community Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and loved her Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son Michael Giovenco.

Survivors include, sons; Peter Giovenco and wife, Cindy, Lou Giovenco and wife, Connie, Don Giovenco and wife, Joy, daughters; Tricia Garner, Rose Kish, Robin Bowers and husband, Dave, Susie Vega and husband, Ray, and Barbra Abrahams and husband, Peter, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on October 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Community Baptist Church sanctuary. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.
